Imaginary Trip, Day 1 part 2

Why is our flight all the way on the other side of the airport? Is it impossible to connect to a flight in the same wing of the airport?

Joe and I are hustling to the other terminal to make our 9:12 flight from Atlanta, Georgia to San Francisco, California. We have about 23 minutes to travel the 36 gates and hand our tickets over before we settle down for the longer flight of the day. Let's hope I don't get lost!

I made sure the Joe is fully prepared for this trip! Take a look at what he's got along for this little journey:

Joe's got a white cotton T shirt on (the white shirt makes him look bigger, if can believe that!) and some comfy plaid shorts on. The athletic shorts were in the wash, better luck next time. Joe also has his running shoes on! A pair of comfy white Keds that are easy to take off in the security line and easy to slip off during the flight. Joe also has his sporty backpack with his clothes and toiletries packed away.

I wouldn't make Joe suffer through a four hour flight, so he has a portable DVD player and a man-movie, The Dark Knight, to kill some time. We also packed him some water and some protein shakes, just in case they don't feed us on the flight. While we were waiting in line to hand over the boarding passes, Joe saw a Subway and grabbed a meatball sub to go! Let's make sure he has a napkin so he doesn't mess up that white shirt!

We've made it to the plane and over to our seats and we are settling in for the long stretch. I can't wait to show Joe the city as we fly in! And the Sierra Nevadas! And the Sacto River! I am so excited to show Joe where I come from!

Coming up, meeting up with my mom and sister's and a whole bunch of funnery!
